As kids, we used to call it ball bearing. We would implore the car mechanics in the industrial zone to give us the old cars’ wheel spindles and we would assemble them with timbers we would collect from construction sites. Then, we would slope downhill like mad. Those who skateboard know the feeling: it is such a high. Over time, skateboarding has evolved so much. It was initially born with the idea that one could as well slope down asphalt roads just like skating on ice and sloping on water. Today, all around the world skateboarders showcase their talents in incredibly acrobatic competitions. Cats and dogs too enjoy skateboarding. In this country, skateboarding is very widespread, especially among teens. Postmen also use it during work. Maybe this is how the SkateBag® idea first came to me. Just visualize it! A potbellied Greek postman on a skateboard with his huge mailbag hanging from his shoulder! After a long series of trials, I finally completed my design. It is a custom-made bag and requires a lot of patience. But when you see the result, you think it was worth it.
Unique.
Therefore, each of my products are unique. So is each and every raw leather that is chosen. Their distinctive form and texture are matchless; such as human fingerprints. Each leather that comes to my workbench has its own vital traces. I never intervene in those minor scars because each one has a story of its own.
